This fine-textured, green leaf turf has been hand-picked from more than 30,000 different Bermuda grass varieties, exhibiting outstanding potential in drought resistance, shade tolerance, and wear tolerance. It uses 38% less water compared to similar grasses while upholding exceptional turf quality.
TifTuf Bermuda grass grows low to the ground, spreading readily by sending out rhizomes and stolons. Rhizomes are root-like shoots that spread under the soil surface. Stolons, on the other hand, are new shoots that spread above the soil surface. TifTuf’s ability to spread fast makes it ideal for areas that require recovery. It’s also a self-repairing turf that can withstand a lot of wear and tear.
Bermuda grass needs regular mowing. Otherwise, it will form seed heads and drop an abundance of seeds in the immediate area. Wind may then disperse the seeds to other places where you don’t want grass. A great benefit of using seeded Bermuda grass is that these grass varieties are propagated from seed. Seed propagation makes planting and establishing a new lawn much faster and cost-effective than establishing vegetative types of grass. If you want to establish Bermuda grass from seed, you’ll need to irrigate your yard consistently as the seeds germinate. Make sure you cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, in addition to mulch. You should water your lawn twice per day to 1-2cm depth for your Bermuda grass to develop into a strong, healthy turf.
